Western Australian and Tasmanian orders: As already stated, you ARE able to import garlic in WA and Tas. However, these States have strict quarantine regulations. For your protection, orders from these specific State will be despatched with a PLANT HEALTH CERTIFICATE which will be charged at cost and will cause a slight delay in despatch. This Certificate, issued by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries, states that the plant material (your garlic) has been inspected and is considered to conform with the requirements of the specific Plant Health legislation of your particular State. Garlic entering these States is liable to seizure by the Quarantine Service unless accompanied by such a Plant Health Certificate. As a certificate is required for each shipment you may find it worthwhile ordering all your garlic at the one time.
