Shangtung Purple is a great softneck garlic with purple skin (wrappers) with 6-8 large cream coloured cloves with brownish skin (wrappers). It occasionally produces a scape (stalk) and grows well in just about any climate if well tended. It matures early. It is one of our best varieties.
